Types of Hardfacing
Methods, techniquies & applications
Grit Style
Our virgin tungsten grit style of hardfacing is like having a thousand tiny tungsten tiles attached to the wear face of your point or cutting edge that don’t fall off or shatter.
Applications:
Agricultural and earthmoving points, cutting edges, etc.
Smooth Style
Our “smooth coat” hard facing is like a flexible, shatterproof tile that can be applied to any surface shape to protect high-wear points that tiles can’t be applied to. A great option is for soil types that have a high risk of soil carry, like red clay.
Applications:
Agricultural and earthmoving points, cutting edges, etc.
Powder Coat
Our powder coat is a super-fine tungsten that is melted into the wear face or cutting edge, which offers little to no drag due to a very thin layer for fine-tolerance applications and is also easily balanced in high-speed applications.
Applications:
Mower/slasher blades, chopper drums (plastic-trash), auger flighting, mixer wagons, etc.

Traditional Tiles & Blocks
We also have a wide range of traditional tungsten tiles and blocks available in all different sizes.
